Albany Firebirds to Host Outdoor Playoff Block Party Before Semifinal Showdown on August 1!

ALBANY, N.Y. — The Albany Firebirds are inviting fans to kick off the postseason with the return of the Outdoor Playoff Block Party on Saturday, August 1, from 2:00–4:00 PM on South Pearl Street outside MVP Arena, before the Firebirds take the field for their Arena Football One Semifinal game at 4:00 PM.

The free pregame celebration will feature activities and entertainment for fans of all ages, creating the perfect atmosphere before one of the biggest games of the season.

Fans can enjoy food trucks, music, face painting by Sobia, Kona Ice, Mr. Ding-A-Ling Ice Cream, outdoor games, local vendors, community organizations, and much more.

The full list of vendors and attractions will be announced next week.

As part of the day's festivities, the Firebirds are partnering with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York to host the Rise Against Hunger Food Drive during the block party. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to help support families throughout the Capital Region.

The food drive marks the beginning of a new community partnership between the Albany Firebirds and the Regional Food Bank, with both organizations committed to making a lasting impact beyond the football field and continuing to serve the Capital Region together for years to come.

Following the block party, fans are encouraged to head inside MVP Arena as the Firebirds begin their quest for another Arena Crown Championship. Kickoff is set for 4:00 PM, with the winner advancing to Arena Crown 2026.
