Firebirds Announce Recent Signings

The Albany Firebirds continued to build depth across the roster this week, announcing the signings of three players on both sides of the ball.

At quarterback, Albany added Eric Phoenix, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound signal caller out of South Carolina State University. Phoenix is expected to provide depth at the position and support the Firebirds’ offensive unit as a backup option.

The Firebirds also strengthened their receiving corps with the addition of Aaron Dilworth. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Dilworth brings size and athleticism to the wide receiver group. He played collegiately at Texas A&M University–Kingsville and adds another target to Albany’s passing attack.

Rounding out the group is Vincent DiLeo, a versatile 6-foot-1, 230-pound player capable of contributing at both fullback and linebacker. A product of Delaware Valley University, DiLeo previously signed with the Firebirds in October 2024 before earning a call-up and signing with the United Football League (UFL) in November of that year. Following his time in the UFL, he most recently played with the Kentucky Barrels at the start of the AF1 season. His return adds both experience and physicality to the roster.

With these additions, Albany continues to reinforce key areas as the team prepares for upcoming matchups, focusing on depth, versatility, and competition across multiple positions.
