The Albany Firebirds are proud to announce that linebacker DJ Walden has signed with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Walden played both full seasons in 2024 and 2025, participating from training camp through the entire year, and became a key contributor on defense. He helped lead Albany to an undefeated 2025 season, culminating in the team winning the Arena Crown Championship.

During his time in Albany, Walden established himself as a consistent playmaker and a leader on the field. His move to the CFL marks the next step in his professional football career.
