Albany Firebirds Open Applications for 2027 Sales & Business Development Internship
ALBANY, N.Y. — September 17, 2026 — The Albany Firebirds are now accepting applications for the organization’s 2027 Sales & Business Development Internship.
The internship provides students with hands-on experience inside a professional sports organization, with opportunities to develop skills in ticket sales, group sales, corporate partnerships, fan development, community engagement and game-day operations.
Interns will work alongside Firebirds front office staff throughout the 2027 season, gaining real-world experience in the day-to-day operations of a professional sports organization. The position is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in professional sports, sales, marketing, business development, communications and sports entertainment.
Building Careers in Sports
Over the years, Albany Firebirds interns have gone on to work for and interview with professional leagues and organizations across the sports industry, including the NFL, NHL, NBA G League, PLL, US Open, NLL, AHL, TBL, Frontier League, MiLB, MLB, Cosmic Sports, Savannah Bananas and more.
The Firebirds internship program is designed to give students meaningful professional experience, opportunities to build their network and a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to operate a professional sports organization.
